The Maroon Visitor Information Program, or Maroon VIP, for short, supports the Welcome Center in ensuring that all guests enjoy a warm and hospitable introduction to MSU.
The group, comprised of MSU students, welcome visitors to Mississippi State, offering information about the university, providing guided tours of campus, and assisting with any special requests or needs that guests may have. Members serve as a first point of contact for visitors to the Welcome Center and help create memorable first impressions of the university community.
Want to be a VIP?
Do you have a strong work ethic and a passion for Mississippi State University? We'd love for you to join us! Applications (and the $5 non-refundable application fee) are due in the Welcome Center no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th. Interviews will begin March 2nd. You should be comfortable with public speaking, have a 2.5 cumulative GPA, and possess an enthusiasm for working with a variety of people. Maybe you know someone who would be a good fit? Please let them know about this great opportunity!
A general interest meeting will be held Wednesday, February 18, at 5:00 p.m., in Fowlkes Auditorium in the Union. Applications are due February 24 by 4:00 p.m. and interviews will begin March 2.
